Use this guide to open MindSalt Mobile, sign in, move around the app, refresh information, and manage your mobile account preferences.
Mobile overview #
MindSalt Mobile is a phone-focused web app for tracking time, managing expenses, reviewing approvals, and changing basic account settings. This overview explains the main sections and links to instructions for each task. The sections you see depend on your account features and permissions.
Notice: Mobile access must be available for your account. Time, Expense, and Approvals appear only when the related feature is enabled and you have the required permission.
Open MindSalt Mobile #
- Open the MindSalt mobile link provided by your organization.
- Sign in when prompted.
- Use the tabs at the bottom of the screen to move between the sections available to you.
If MindSalt Mobile is already installed on your device, open it from its app icon. The same account and feature rules apply in the installed experience.
Available sections #
- Time lets you view time by day and timesheet period, add or change entries, use favorites, and submit a timesheet when approvals are enabled.
- Expense lets you view expense reports, create reports and expense items, attach receipts, and use Smart Scan when it is enabled.
- Approvals lets people with approval permission review submitted timesheets or expense reports.
- Account shows your profile, appearance setting, support options, and Sign out.
You may see only some of these sections. For example, an employee with time-entry access but no expense access sees Time but not Expenses.
Mobile interaction basics #
- Tap a row to open its details.
- Tap a floating + button to add something. If more than one action is available, a small menu opens near the button.
- Pull down on many list and detail screens to refresh them.
- Sheets that slide up from the bottom often have a swipe handle. You can usually swipe down or tap outside the sheet to close it.
- Use Back, Close, or the X button to leave a detail or form screen.
Important: If you have unsaved changes, MindSalt asks before discarding them. Keep editing or save before leaving if you want to preserve the changes.
MindSalt Mobile is designed primarily for portrait use. If a landscape window is too short to display the app correctly, the browser asks you to rotate the device back to portrait.
What to use the desktop app for #
MindSalt Mobile focuses on everyday employee and approval tasks. Use the standard desktop application for account setup, employees, projects, security roles, approval configuration, reports, billing, and other administration.
Sign in to MindSalt Mobile #

Navigate and refresh MindSalt Mobile #
Use the bottom navigation, page controls, and refresh gestures to move through MindSalt Mobile and keep information current.
Use the bottom navigation #
Tap any visible tab at the bottom of the screen:
- Time
- Expense
- Approvals
- Account
The tabs are conditional. MindSalt does not show a section when your account feature or permission does not allow it. When only one type of approval is available, the Approvals tab opens that approval queue directly.
MindSalt remembers whether you last used Time or Expense. The next time the app starts, it returns to that section when you still have access.
Open details and actions #
- Tap a time entry, expense report, expense item, or approval row to open it.
- Tap + to add a new record. When the + button offers multiple actions, tap the choice you want in the floating menu.
- Tap a menu icon for actions such as edit, copy, submit, or delete.
- Tap Back, Close, or X to return.
Refresh information #
On screens that support pull to refresh:
- Pull the content downward.
- Release when the refresh indicator appears.
Time, expense report lists, expense report details, approval summaries, approval queues, and approval details support this pattern.
Some long lists load more results automatically or show Load more. Expense reports and approval queues are loaded in groups, so continue scrolling or tap Load more when it appears.
