Use this guide to review submitted timesheets and expense reports from a phone or tablet, then approve or reject them.
Open Approvals #
Browse to MindSalt Mobile Approvals. Tap Approvals at the bottom of the screen.
Mobile approvals overview #
The Approvals section shows submitted timesheets and expense reports currently awaiting your review.
Notice: Approvals appears only when approval workflows are enabled and you have time-approval or expense-approval permission. You may have access to one approval type or both.
Open an approval queue #
- Tap Approvals.
- If both queues are available, tap Timesheet Approvals or Expense Approvals.
- Tap a submitted record to review it.
When only one approval type is available, MindSalt opens that queue directly. When both are available, the Approvals screen shows each queue and its current count.
The queues contain submitted records assigned to you under your organization's approval rules. Pull down to refresh. Tap Load more when it appears.
Review availability #
- A timesheet queue row shows the employee, period, and total hours.
- An expense queue row shows the report date, name, employee, amount, and item count.
- Approve and Reject appear only while the submission is still waiting for your review.
The submission may disappear from your queue after someone else acts on it or its status changes.
Limited approval views #
Some project managers see only entries or expense items for projects they manage. When this applies, the review displays a notice explaining that the view is limited.
Approve or reject a timesheet #
Review an employee's submitted entries by day, then approve the timesheet or reject it with a required reason.
Notice: Timesheet Approvals is available only to users with time-approval access.

Important: A rejection reason is required. Review it before submitting because it explains what the employee needs to correct.
