Automatic notifications remind employees when time is incomplete or a timesheet has not been submitted.
Automatic notifications allows you to configure notifications to be sent to users that either do not meet the required number of hours on their timesheet or to send them a reminder to submit their timesheet (approvals module required) if it has not yet been submitted for the timesheet period.
Tip: You may also search for incomplete timesheets and send manual notifications by using the Incomplete Time Entry Notifications tool.
Incomplete Timesheet Reminder – Options and field descriptions #
If your timesheet period is set to Weekly or Biweekly the following options will be available:
Minimum # of Hours – Provide the minimum number of hours that is expected for the timesheet period.
If your timesheet period is set to Monthly or Semi-Monthly the following options will be available:
Work Days – Select the days of the week that are considered "work days". The selected days will be used to determine the number of work days in a timesheet period. Hours per Work Day – Provide the number of hours in a work day. The hours provided here will be be multiplied by the number of work days in the timesheet period to determine the minimum number of hours for the timesheet period.
Send the reminder email X days after the end of the timesheet period – Select the number of days after the timesheet period that the reminder email should be sent. For example, if the timesheet period ends on a Monday and the value for this option is set to "1" the reminder email will be sent on Tuesday.
Submit Timesheet Reminder – Options and field descriptions #
Send the reminder email X days after the end of the timesheet period – Select the number of days after the timesheet period that the reminder email should be sent. For example, if the timesheet period ends on a Monday and the value for this option is set to "1" the reminder email will be sent on Tuesday.
Do not send this reminder to employees that received the incomplete timesheet reminder – Select this option to prevent the 'submit timesheet' reminder email from being sent to the user if they also received the 'incomplete timesheet' reminder email.
