Managers can review timesheets for the employees they manage. Administrators can work with timesheets across the account through Admin Timesheets.

Open Timesheet Administration #

Browse to Admin Timesheets Timesheet Administration.

Notice: These screens require manager or administrator timesheet access. Approval actions are covered separately and require the approvals feature.

Manage a team member's timesheet #

  1. Open Manage Timesheets.
  2. Search or filter for the employee.
  3. Select the employee and period.
  4. Review the recorded dates, projects, tasks, hours, and comments.
  5. Use the edit or navigation action you need.

Your manager relationship and security role determine which employees appear. You cannot use this screen to open timesheets for other employees.

Manage timesheets as an administrator #

Administrators can open Admin Timesheets to find records across the account.

  1. Set the employee, date, and status filters.
  2. Open the employee and timesheet period you need.
  3. Review the time and approval history.
  4. Make the required correction or status change if the current status allows it.
  5. Save and check the updated status.

Administrative access does not remove every business rule. Date limits, required fields, project availability, and record status can still affect an edit.

Open the timesheet action menu. Select Print timesheet to print the employee and period currently open. Select Approval history to review recorded submissions, approvals, rejections, and administrative status changes. The actions shown depend on your access and whether approvals are enabled.

Use the approval screen for approval decisions #

Use Manage Timesheet Approvals or Admin Timesheet Approvals when the goal is to approve, reject, unsubmit, or unapprove a submitted record. Do not use a normal timesheet edit as a substitute for an approval decision.

Troubleshooting #

An employee is missing #

Check that the employee is active, is assigned to you as a manager, and has time tracking access. Administrators can also review department and manager assignments.

A timesheet is read-only #

The period may be submitted, approved, outside the allowed date range, or locked. If the record must be changed, first use the approval or administrative action that returns it to an editable status.
