MindSalt records time off as a special time entry and shows the employee's balance under the policies set by the organization.

Open your timesheet #

Browse to Timesheets.

Notice: Your organization sets the time-off names, categories, balances, and entry rules. You see only the time off assigned to you.

View your balance #

  1. Open My Timesheet.
  2. Open the action menu.
  3. Select the action labeled with the account's time-off term followed by balances.
  4. Review the balance details shown, which can include available, accrued, used, and adjusted amounts.

Ask an administrator about a balance you believe is incorrect. The displayed balance depends on the policy, adjustments, and recorded time.

Record time off #

  1. Open My Timesheet.
  2. Move to the date when the time off will occur.
  3. Select the time-off client, project, task, or other entry option used by your organization.
  4. Enter the hours.
  5. Add a required comment when prompted.
  6. Select Save.

Submit time off with your timesheet #

Review the time-off entry with the rest of your time for the period. When everything is correct, submit the timesheet as usual.

A date lock, insufficient balance, project rule, required comment, or submitted period can prevent a save. Follow the displayed message or contact an administrator.

Correct rejected time off #

Open the rejected period, review the rejection reason, update the editable time-off entry, save, and submit again.
