Project priorities group projects by importance for lists and reports.
This screen allows you to create new or modify existing Project Priorities. Project Priorities provides a way to group projects into priorities (i.e. High, Medium, Low, etc.), for reporting purposes.
Tip: New systems come pre-populated with common Project Priorities.

Options and field descriptions #
List Order – Specify the order in which to display Project Priority items in a drop-down list. A smaller number entered here (1 being the smallest) will display the item at the top of the drop-down list while a larger number (999 being the largest) will display the item at the bottom of the drop-down list.
Name – A name for the Project Priority.
Accounting ID – This optional field simplifies the exporting of data to an accounting package. When supplied, the Accounting ID acts as a code or cross-reference to related data located within an external accounting package.
Use this as the default project priority – Specifies whether or not the selected Project Priority will be the default Project Priority for new projects. Only one Project Priority can be the default for data entry.
Creating a Project Priority #
- Browse to Admin, select Projects, and then select Project Priorities.
- Select New to create a new project priority or select an existing project priority from the list.
- Provide an list order for determining the sort order in drop-down lists.
- Provide a unique name for the project priority.
- Provide any additional data in the remaining optional fields.
- Select Save.
Active and archived records #
MindSalt uses Active and Archived. Archived records stay in your account but do not appear in active lists. To archive a record, open its three-dot menu and select Archive. When a record can be copied, Copy is in the same menu.
