Start with these tasks after you receive access to MindSalt. The screens you see depend on your account's features and your security role.
Notice: Your organization may use different words for client, project, task, time off, or timesheet. Follow the equivalent labels in your account.
Sign in and confirm your access #
- Accept your invitation or open the MindSalt sign-in page.
- Sign in with your MindSalt username and password, or use your organization's single sign-on option.
- Confirm that the navigation includes the areas you need, such as My Timesheet, Expenses, or Reports.

Review your profile and preferences #
- Open your user menu.
- Select My Profile and confirm the information you are allowed to edit.
- Open My Preferences to choose appearance, report, project-selection, and time-entry options that are available to you.
- Save your changes.

Record your first time entry #
When time tracking is enabled:
- Open My Timesheet.
- Move to an editable date or period.
- Select the client, project, and task for the work.
- Enter the hours and any required comment.
- Save the entry.
Do not submit the timesheet until the period is complete and you have reviewed the total. See Track and submit time.
Add your first expense #
When expense tracking is enabled:
- Open Expenses.
- Create or open an editable expense report.
- Add an expense item, choose the expense type, and enter the date and amount.
- Attach the receipt when required.
- Save the item.

Use MindSalt on a phone or tablet #
Open the MindSalt mobile web app to work with the mobile features assigned to you. Detailed mobile instructions are organized under the Mobile help category.

Get help #
Open the help menu to view Help, share feedback, or contact support. When reporting a problem, include the screen, action, and message you saw, but do not send passwords or confidential receipt data.
