The timer records how long you work and turns that time into a timesheet entry when you stop it. The timer is available from My Timesheet, not Day View.
Open the timer #
Browse to Timesheets Timer.
Start and pause the timer #
- Open My Timesheet.
- Select Timer.
- Start the timer when you begin working.
- Pause and resume it when needed.
- Add or update the timer comment if the option appears.
Only one timer can run for you at a time.
Stop the timer and save the entry #
- Stop the timer.
- Choose the client, project, and task when MindSalt asks for them.
- Check the recorded time.
- Save the entry.
If the timer is not available #
If you do not see Timer, return to My Timesheet and make sure you are not in Day View. The timer may also be hidden when time tracking is turned off or your role does not allow time entry. Ask a MindSalt administrator to check your access if the timer is still missing.
Troubleshooting #
- If the entry will not save, correct any highlighted date, work, hours, or comment fields and try again.
- If another timer is already running, stop that timer before starting a new one.
- If the recorded time is wrong, change the entry before submitting the timesheet.
