My Timesheet lets you record hours by date, client, project, and task, then submit completed time for approval.
Open Timesheets #
Browse to Timesheets.
Notice: Time tracking must be enabled, and your role must include personal time entry access. Project and task labels may differ if your account uses custom terminology.
View a timesheet period #
Open My Timesheet and use the date or period control to move to the time you need. The account's period setting determines whether you see a week or another date range.
The summary shows recorded hours for the selected period. Time off balances, approval history, printing, quick reports, and preferences can be available from the action menu.
Record time #
- Open My Timesheet.
- Move to an editable date.
- Select the client, project, and task for the time you are recording.
- Enter the hours for the date.
- Add a comment when the task or account requires one.
- Select Save.
Before saving, MindSalt checks the date, selected work, hours, comments, and account rules. Correct any highlighted fields and save again.
Edit time #
Change the hours or comment on an editable entry, then select Save. A submitted or approved period cannot normally be edited.
Copy recent time #
- Open the My Timesheet action menu.
- Select Copy recent timesheet.
- Choose the entry to copy and where you want to copy it.
- Review how existing destination entries will be handled.
- Confirm the copy.
- Check the copied entry and select Save if MindSalt opens it for editing.
Delete time #
Clear an editable time value, or open the entry and select Delete if that action is shown. Confirm the deletion.
Warning: Deleting time removes it from the timesheet. You cannot delete submitted or approved time from My Timesheet.
Submit your timesheet #
Save all changes before submitting.
- Open the completed period.
- Select Submit.
- Review the dates and totals.
- Answer any submission questions shown.
- Confirm the submission.
Submission can be blocked by missing required time, incomplete answers, invalid entries, locked dates, or another account rule. Follow the message, correct the period, and submit again.
After submission, the covered time becomes read-only according to the account's submission lock setting. Use Approval history to review progress when that action is available.
Important: MindSalt does not provide employees with a general Cancel Submission action. Ask an administrator to return a submitted period when it needs changes before review.
Correct rejected time #
Rejected time becomes available for correction.
- Open the rejected period from Home or My Timesheet.
- Review the rejection message or approval history.
- Correct the entries.
- Select Save.
- Select Submit to send the corrected timesheet again.
Troubleshooting #
A date cannot be edited #
The date may be outside the allowed range, on or before the account's last editable date, submitted, approved, or otherwise locked. Ask an administrator which restriction applies.
A project or task is missing #
The record may be archived, outside its active dates, not assigned to you, hidden by your preferences, or unavailable for the selected client. Ask an administrator to review the project and task setup.
Submit is unavailable #
Approvals may be turned off, the period may already be submitted, or your account may not allow you to submit that period.
