Incomplete time reminders help administrators contact employees who have not recorded the expected hours for a selected period.
Open Timesheet Notifications #
Browse to Admin Timesheets Timesheet Notifications.
From this page, you can send a one-time reminder or set up automatic notifications, depending on your access and account settings.
Notice: The notification screens you see depend on your account settings and menu permissions. Review the recipient list before sending a message.
Send a manual reminder #
- Open Incomplete Time Entry Notifications.
- Choose the date range.
- Choose which employees and incomplete-time conditions should receive the reminder.
- Review the employees who will receive the message.
- Confirm the message and send the notification.
Use a completed period or another clearly communicated deadline so employees understand what needs attention.
Configure an automatic reminder #
If Automatic Notifications is available:
- Open Automatic Notifications.
- Create a notification schedule or open an existing one.
- Set the timing.
- Set the incomplete-time criteria.
- Review the recipient behavior and message.
- Save and activate the schedule.
Test and maintain reminders #
- Start with a small recipient group or test account.
- Confirm that the message arrives at the intended time.
- Confirm that completed employees are excluded.
- Review the schedule after timesheet-period, expected-hours, holiday, or policy changes.
- Archive or deactivate reminders that are no longer needed.
Troubleshooting #
- A missing employee may already have enough hours for the selected period or may not be managed by the current administrator.
- A missing screen may indicate menu or feature availability.
- An unexpected reminder may be caused by the selected period, expected hours, time-off settings, or notification schedule.
