Your profile stores your personal information. My Preferences controls how MindSalt looks and how selected time, project, and report screens behave for you.

Update your profile #

Browse to Your initials My profile.

  1. Open your user menu.
  2. Select My Profile.
  3. Update the personal and contact information shown on the page.
  4. Select Save.

Fields managed by an administrator or payroll process may be read-only or unavailable. Contact an administrator if a value you cannot edit is incorrect.

Change your password #

Browse to Your initials My profile.

  1. Open My Profile.
  2. Open the security or password section.
  3. Enter your current password.
  4. Enter and confirm your new password.
  5. Select Save or the password update action shown.

Use a unique password that you do not use for another service.

Notice: If your organization requires single sign-on, you may need to change your password through your identity provider instead of MindSalt.

Set your preferences #

Browse to Your initials Preferences.

  1. Open your user menu.
  2. Select My Preferences.
  3. Change the options you want.
  4. Select Save.

Available preferences can include:

  • Appearance, such as light or dark mode.
  • Default report output, such as HTML or PDF.
  • Project selection method, which changes how client and project choices are presented.
  • Highlight weekends on time screens.
  • Hide unused projects from time entry.
  • Default entry type for time.
  • Horizontal or vertical tabbing in the timesheet grid.
  • display choices for larger timesheet periods.

Time-specific preferences appear only when time tracking is enabled.

What happens next #

Saved preferences apply to your user account. A page refresh or reopening a screen may be needed before every component uses the new appearance or entry behavior.

If a project no longer appears after you enable Hide unused projects, clear the preference or ask an administrator to confirm that the project is active and assigned to you.
